Jeep was also keen on telling us interior space has been maximised and the Compass should be one of the roomiest SUVs in its class. We do know that the rear seat will get a 60:40 split, to maximise boot space. The independent rear suspension with 200mm of articulation on the Compass is going to be a boon when traversing off-road, but its 178mm of ground clearance clearly hints at a road bias for the SUV, especially considering that most SUVs in India are seen performing duty on tarmac rather than off it.
